Are Omani citizens exempted from Vietnam visa?
NO, as a citizen of Oman, you MUST acquire a visa before entering Vietnam.
What is the best time to visit Sapa?
Summer (June–August) offers green rice terraces and pleasant mountain weather. Expect occasional mist and light rain.
Is the tour suitable for elderly travelers?
Yes, but Day 3 and Day 4 involve walking in Cat Cat Village and Moana Sapa. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Can I extend my stay in Vietnam after the tour ends?
Yes, you can request a post-tour extension with Alwan Travel. Additional nights, flights, and transfers will be charged separately. Contact Alwan Travel for pricing.
What happens if I miss the group flight or tour departure?
Contact Alwan Travel immediately at 76627744. Missed flights or tours are generally not refundable. Travel insurance is recommended to cover such situations.
How do I book this tour?
Contact Alwan Travel & Tourism: Phone: 76627744; social media: @alwantour. Prices subject to change.
What is the dress code for visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum?
Conservative dress required: no shorts, no sleeveless tops, no miniskirts. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Remove hats and sunglasses inside the mausoleum. Silence and respect required.
Is there Wi-Fi at the hotels?
Yes, both Le Jardin Hotel (Hanoi) and Bamboo Sapa Hotel offer free Wi-Fi to guests. Mobile SIM cards with data are available at Hanoi airport (Viettel, Vinaphone, Mobifone) for around 5-10 USD.

Daily breakfast (buffet) is included. Lunch and dinner are not included – you can choose local restaurants. Vegetarian and halal options are available in Hanoi and Sapa (request them at restaurants). Inform Alwan Travel in advance of any serious dietary restrictions.
What are the hotel check-in and check-out times?
Both hotels (Le Jardin Hanoi & Bamboo Sapa): Check-in from 14:00 (2:00 PM) and check-out by 12:00 (12:00 PM). Luggage storage is available if you arrive early or need to store bags after check-out.
What language is spoken? Will the guide speak English?
Vietnamese is the official language. Your tour guide is English-speaking. In tourist areas (hotels, restaurants, and markets), basic English is understood. Learning a few Vietnamese words like "Xin chào" (hello) and "Cảm ơn" (thank you) is appreciated.
Can I use Omani Rials in Vietnam?
No. You must exchange Omani rials for US dollars first in Oman and then for Vietnamese dong in Vietnam. Alternatively, you can withdraw VND from ATMs in Hanoi or Sapa (note that international withdrawal fees may apply).
What currency is used in Vietnam? Should I exchange money before travel?
Vietnamese Dong (VND) is the local currency. US dollars are accepted in some hotels and tour offices but not in local markets. Exchange OMR to VND at Hanoi airport or gold shops in Old Quarter for better rates. Credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) accepted at hotels and larger restaurants. Cash recommended for small purchases and tips.
What should I pack?
Lightweight clothing for Hanoi (cotton, linen), sweater or light jacket for Sapa evenings, comfortable walking shoes for Cat Cat Village (uneven paths), rain jacket or umbrella (possible showers), mosquito repellent, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, power adapter (Vietnam uses 220V – two round pins), and personal medications.
Is travel insurance mandatory?
Travel insurance is not included but is strongly recommended. It should cover medical expenses, trip cancellation, lost luggage, and emergency evacuation.
