The Most Memorable Omani Experience I visited Oman with mum organizing the trip by ourselves and by chance I jumped into Alwan agency when planning some excursions. Now I can say that our journey through Oman wouldn’t have been the same without Talal and his incredible travel agency, Alwan. From the moment we got in touch and decided to plan with him a couole of visits, everything was thoughtfully curated and full of unforgettable experiences that brought us close to the heart of Omani culture and nature. With Talal and Alwan agency we planned the tour of Nizwa, the desert and Wadi Shab and the excursion st the Daymaniyat Islands. As for the first one, it lasted two days, during which we had the pleasure of being guided by Khalid, our personal driver and amazing companion throughout the trip. On Friday at dawn, he brought us to the bustling Nizwa market, where we witnessed the traditional vegetable and animal auctions—a lively, authentic scene where farmers and traders come from the whole country and gather as they’ve done for generations. It was like stepping into the soul of Oman. From there, we made our way to the breathtaking Al Wasil desert, where we spent the night in a peaceful desert camp surrounded by rolling golden dunes and the gentle presence of camels. The silence of the desert under a sky full of stars is something I’ll carry with me forever. The experience was both grounding and magical—especially when Khalid introduced us to local Bedouins, whose hospitality and stories offered not only an insight into their story, but also a rare glimpse into a way of life that is deeply connected to the land. The next day, we embarked on one of the most incredible adventures at Wadi Shab. Imagine hiking through a dramatic canyon, surrounded by towering cliffs and palm-filled oases, until you reach clear, turquoise pools hidden within the rocks. We swam through the winding waters, even reaching a hidden cave with a waterfall inside—an experience that felt straight out of a dream! The raw beauty of Wadi Shab left us in awe; it's not just a place you visit, it’s a place that stays with you. Then, few days after, on Tuesday morning, with Talal we organized an unforgettable excursion to the Daymaniyat Islands. The boat ride itself was already a joy, but snorkeling in those crystal-clear waters was pure magic. I had the once-in-a-lifetime chance to swim alongside turtles, surrounded by vibrant marine life. It was peaceful, exhilarating, and simply unforgettable. Talal’s attention to detail, warm communication, and passion for sharing the best of Oman truly made our trip extraordinary.
